He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harvey Berndt and Edith Berndt (Gaudette); his wife Jean Bailey; his sister Brenda; his son Greg; his daughter-in-law Dottie; his grandchildren, Hannah and William of Yakima; his son Jeff; his daughter-in-law Ginny; his grandchildren, Virginia and George of North Carolina; and his brothers, Tom Berndt of Yakima and Steve Berndt of Olympia. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
