He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Sr. Rainey and Martha Rainey; his brothers, Donald Rainey and Kenneth Rainey; his son Michael Rainey; his granddaughter Sara Mielke; and his pet Caesar.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Brown; his wife Linda Brazier; his sister Susie Selland (Bob); his daughter Sheri Backous (Rick); his grandchildren, Bobbi Williams, Lindsay Raymond, Erica Nemnich, Kelly Goodman, Cole Rainey, James Rainey and Peter Rainey; his stepchildren, Colleen Finney, Mike Finney (Darry) and Debbie Elgin (Robert); and his stepgrandchildren, Brianna Finney, Brad Finney, Aric Finney, Aaron Finney, Lauren Finney, Alex Gettys and Dustin Finney. He is also survived by eleven step great grandchildren.
