He is survived by: his children, Dennis Jr., Pieper Hegnes Jr., Donald, Belinda Hegnes and Denise Hegnes; his grandchildren, Amanda Hegnes, John Baca, Katerina Hegnes, Nolan Hegnes and Emily Hegnes; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Roman; and his siblings, Pam Hegnes, Sue, Chuck Campbell, Herb Hegnes and Lillian (Franco Gomez). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
