She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Alsum and Elsie Alsum (VanderGalien); her husband Roger Handyside; her brothers, James "Jim" Alsum (Rose) of Lynden and Myron "Mike" Alsum (Connie) of Lynden; and her children, Valerie Jacobson (Tom) of Bothell, Roger "Skip" Handyside, Vicki Handyside (Mike) of Walla Walla and Debbie Linde (Ted). She was also cherished by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
