He is survived by: his wife Dixie; his children, Scott Mitchell (Linda), Cynthia Osthoff (Richard) and Robert Randall Mitchell (Linda); his grandchildren, Tyler Mitchell (Allison), Jennifer Simmons (Ty), Kyle Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell (Ali), Alexandra Gullikson (Matthew), Nicholas Mitchell and Jacob Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Kade, Finley, Octavius, Sebastian, Liv, Ila, Coley, McKenzie and Hunter; and his brother-in-law Gary Smith. He is also survived by many extended family, friends.
