She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bouwman and Jackie Bouwman; her parents-in-law, Bert and Cecilia Benson; her sister-in-law Marlene Farrell; and her grandson Dylan Oldham-Redlightning.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Benson; her children, Melanie Van Den (Joel), Brandon Benson (Kim), Danielle Jorgensen (Trevor), Sheena Oldham and Matthew Benson (Lindsey); her siblings, Lori Schnieder (John), Carol Bratt (Mark), Terri Bouwman and Kent Bouwman (Candace); and her in-laws, Linda Solvason (Bill), Marv Benson (Bonnie) and Richard Farrell. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.
