He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Amy Vande Voort (Mike), Heidi Gudde (Cal), Scott, Debbie Szostak (Mike), Laura Powell (Chris) and Melissa Van Loon (Ben); his grandchildren, Emma Nydam (Braden), Hendrick (Emily Zuidema), Hazel, Eva Solano, Caleb, Emily, Noah, Isaac Szostak, Levi, Isaiah, Bethany Powell, Brantley, Paige, Easton and Tess Van Loon; and his siblings, Lillian, Ken, Roger and Dan Vanden Hoek.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Gillies Funeral Home (202 Front St, Lynden, WA 98264). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (605 E Wiser Lake Rd, Lynden, WA 98264). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynden United Reformed Church (8650 Benson Rd, Lynden, WA 98264).
