He was predeceased by: his parents, Egbert Veen and Renske Vander Veen (Gros); his siblings, Jelle, Gelska, Hieke, Anneke and Piecha; and his son-in-law Walt Vis.
He is survived by: his close friend June Namminga; his daughters, Jennie Dalton (Bob) and Renee; and his siblings, Wiebe Vander Veen and Jikke Brouwer. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
