“My mom was a better person when she was working. When she became a shop steward to a voted in board member for the 555 union, she took it very seriously and tried to be there for the people who she represented. When her first granddaughter, miranda, was born, she was by my side with tears of joy, as she was so proud that moment. She watched miranda take her first step and made a huge mess out of her 1st birthday cake. Miranda was doing just fine;. Until grandma showed her how to wear her cake.”
