He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd W. Nelson and Eva M. Nelson (Watson); his brother Larry W. Nelson; and his stepbrother David N. Heiserman Graduated of Kelso, H. S.. He is survived by: his wife Donna G. Nelson (Aldridge); his son Ronald A. Nelson of Pahrump, NV; his daughter-in-law Julie Heart Nelson; his daughter Lisa Heltemes (Nelson) of Castle Rock, WA; his son-in-law Roger Heltemes; his siblings, Jim Nelson of Longview, WA, Lloyd Nelson (Dewey) of Longview, WA, Sheryl Rapp (Nelson), Jennifer Grindeland (Nelson) of Colorado and Diane Smith (Nelson); and his stepsister Linda Anderson (Heiserman).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Steele Chapel (5050 Mt Solo Rd, Longview, WA 98632). Viewing will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park (5050 Mt Solo Rd, Longview, WA 98632). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Steele Chapel (5050 Mt Solo Rd, Longview, WA 98632). The military honors will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park (5050 Mt Solo Rd, Longview, WA 98632).
