He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. (Swedish) and Elida Erickson Busse; his former wife Peggy (Peggy); his son Jerry Busse; his stepson Shawn Zakel; and his siblings, Robert, Albert, Eddie, Art, Margaret, Ruth and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Borud; his children, Patty Busse of Portland, OR, Scott Busse (Dee) of Hoquiam, WA and Carolyn Busse of Portland, OR; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Busse of Naselle, WA; his stepchildren, Kelly Zakel Larson (Dale) of Ellensburg, WA and Darcy Zakel of Naselle, WA; and his grandchildren, Lynne Anderson (Karl), Mike Busse and Blake Busse (Jessica). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren plus one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
