He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith Covert and Lapreal Covert; his grandmother Mary Jane Covert; his sons, Steven Covert and Gary Covert; and his brother Wendell Covert.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Covert; his daughter Lynn Malsam (Doug) of Republic, WA.; his grandchildren, Megan Wright (Jon), Heather Hawkins-Miller (Travis), Tia Covert, Brie Towne (Ken), Amanda Bowie (Branden), Shelby Covert and Dylan Covert; his great grandchildren, Ainsley Miller and Hunter Bowie; and his siblings, Gene Covert and Geraldine Carson (Dick).
