He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Haechrel and Daniel Haechrel; his brother James; his stepfather Michael; and his nephew Eric.

He is survived by: his children, Karie (Nathan) and Jeremy; his grandsons, Daniel, Jeffrey, Sean and Charles; his siblings, Jean Sandra (Greg), Cheryl (Kevin) and John (Misty); his stepsiblings, Jean (Joe), Jim (Tina), Tom (Jane), Mick (Sherry) and Barbara (Mike); and also Robyn. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
