Hilde Ford Obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Hilde, our loving mother, Oma, and sister on January 19, 2023.
She took God's hand while sleeping peacefully and returned to her loving parents Adolph and Maria, sister Olga and nephews Edward and Horst. She was 87-years-young.
She was a beloved mother to her children, son Larry & wife Rhonda, daughter Leilane (Loni), daughter Rose & husband Rick and daughter Michelle, & husband Jeffrey. She was Oma to her grandchildren, Lindsey, Bryan, Devin, Kellen, Brayden, and Hayden, as well as her great grandchildren, Griffin, Olivia, and Emerson. She will be remembered as a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Czernowitz, Romania. She, being the adventurous type, was the first to embark on a journey to a new life in the United States on May 24, 1955, at the age of 20. Hilde was most honored to have provided her family members in Germany an avenue to immigrate to the United States (parents Adolph, Maria and siblings, Olga, Horst, Erika, Peter, Inge, Robert, and Silvia) which made her family once again complete.
The stories of their successes made her extremely honored to have been a part of their journey.
She loved God, her family, dancing, and traveling (even if it was just driving to Canada for dinner and back) but her fondest memories were of her family. She always loved giving pictures as homemade gifts as a remembrance of what family meant to her. These were the moments that filled her heart! Her most cherished job in her life journey was being an Oma to the young and old alike, as was heard by her granddaughter Lindsey in her final hours, "Oma, I love you so much and want you to know you are the best Oma in the world". In this final journey, one of her grandsons Devin, has written and will bless her and family with her own song, "Oma".
Our mother, Oma, and sister goes before us this day in Christ's name to prepare a table for each of us in his name.
Her family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Renton Valley Medical Center for the compassion shown to her and family.
A celebration of her life will be at Mountain View Memorial Park 4100 Steilacoom Blvd Lakewood WA 98499· February 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Her Children would like to invite each guest to share in a luncheon at Charlie's Restaurant & Lounge 113th E Main, Puyallup, WA.
