She is survived by: her son Ivan Hakala of Olympia, WA; her siblings, Thomas R. Hakala and Mary F. Hakala of Boston, MA; and her godson Peter Lentz of Aberdeen, WA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Carol requested donations to Paws of Grays Harbor, 800 W. 1st St., Aberdeen, WA 98520.
