He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ross Miles and Laura Bell Miles; his wife Alice Calder; his children, David (Hope Hensley), Joel (Laura), Prudence (Ellen Taylor) and Stuart Miles-McLean (Robin); and his stepgrandchildren, Charity, Mosang, Frank, Hugh, Haley, Jacob, Nathaniel, Mark, Kaipo, Victor and Victoria. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.
He continued serving on the Group Health Foundation Board and in the State Health Coordinating Council.
