She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Schwalbe and Dorothy Percival (McMillan); and her siblings, William Schwalbe, Robert Schwalbe and Carol Wilsie.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Firkins; her sons, Brandon Firkins and James Firkins III of Olympia Washington; and her sister Jerri Metcalf of Sacramento, California. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
