She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marion Smith and Gladys Smith; her husband John R. DeMeyer; her children, John E. DeMeyer, Linda J. Reiners and Lisa A. Letcher; and her sister Alcie Oaks. She was also cherished by her three grandchildren.
Joanne enjoyed meeting people and was a natural to sell Avon products in the area, the proceeds of which she donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
