She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Newcomer and Kathleen Newcomer; her husband Howard C. Sutherland; and her siblings, Donna Haeger (Newcomer) and Thomas Newcomer.

She is survived by: her children, Dana Brown (Yvonne), Susan Frans, Kimberly Lugar (Rick) and Mitzi Jones (John); and her friend Dale Rogers. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
