She was predeceased by: her daughter Stacia Sayan; and her brother LeRoy Alm. She is survived by: her son Garth Sayan; her siblings, Arnold Alm and Dottie Dekko Frey; and her grandsons, Joshua Sayan and Jacob Sayan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dar's memory may be made to Children's Hospital Thrift Store, Olympia, Washington.
