He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Mitchell. He is survived by: his mother Carol Mitchell (McKanna); his wife Elizabeth Adeline Wilson; his children, Grace, Grant and August; his siblings, Jenny and George; his sister-in-law Regina; and his parents-in-law, Joyce, David and Cindy. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
He and his wife and children took a long-anticipated European vacation in Ireland, and in his last month, when nobody could travel during the pandemic, a virtual trip to Amsterdam.
