Evan Conklin wrote a sympathy message

“Years ago I moved from California to Seattle. After a couple of failed business startups and a bankruptcy we lost our house and had to rent -3 houses in 6 years we got the boot from as the landlords wanted to flip their houses. I became desperate to buy a house. In 1996 I posted an ad seeking a home to buy on contract with no money down. I didn't get many offers, but I did receive one hot call - from Bud. His understanding generosity and willing to help my family will never be forgotten.”
