“From Mike D - Crap, crap crap! So many great memories of Bill with are frequent ski and rafting excursions. The best one was I believe in 95’ when Crystal got 65” of snow in a short period of time. After Crystal dug out and was able to open Bill and I went up. Sadly it had warmed up a bit and with the settling was the worse conditions ever! Bill veered off into a ungroomed run that wasn’t steep enough to get through and he had to take his skis off and hike out. Rest in Peace WFS.”

“From Michele C - I am saddened to hear of Bill's passing. His humor, wisdom, and political views were always educational and enlightening! I still think back to Bill's financial advice which I wish I would have paid more attention to! My thoughts go out to Bill's brother, nieces, and grand-nieces/nephews. I imagine Bill must have had lots to say about playoff football and especially the ever frustrating Seahawks seasons.”

“More from Keith F - We had several social gatherings at our house - usually watching Seahawks football - that Bill would attend. And at some point we started the First Tuesday get togethers. Just a couple of us at first but grew until at times it was 12 people. Eventually I got a kayak. Bill and I with sometimes Debbie would kayak local lakes. He could be a bit of a curmudgeon and was proud of that. But he was also great fun. He is and will be missed. RIP Bill !”

“From Keith F - I met Bill about 30 years ago when we were both on the F-22 program. Not sure how we got together because, at that time, we didn't have much in common other than working on that program. Bill was white water river rafting for fun and as a weekend job. That was during the summer months. Somehow we (Bill, Mike D and I plus occasional others) got together for downhill skiing at Crystal Mtn. We would decide to go only when the snow was good and we needed a Boeing break.”

“More from Richard S. - After F-22 we worked separate projects but kept in touch. We would often talk about photography and what cameras were durable for outdoor activities. I have gone through a number of cameras over the years settling on Olympus. When I’d get a new one I’d pass the old one on to Bill. We had chatted around Christmas about the latest one I’d given him.”

“From Richard S. - I worked across the table from Bill on F-22. Although that was years ago it doesn’t seem that long. My guess is we worked like that for about 8 years, maybe more. He was responsible for the wing side of body joint on the F-22, at that time. I supported him with FEM analysis. Needless to say, I got to know him pretty well. I’d hear about his rafting trips, along with all the pictures. He was also the guy that taught me investing.”
