Sylvia Ann Theresa Taft Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter F. Pflepsen and Rosalie Pflepsen (Wright); her husband Denis Taft; her daughter Mary Ann; her siblings, Geraldine Higgins, Thomas Pflepsen and Jaqueline Hosking; and her son-in-law Rob Merkes.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Loomis (Ken), Sara Taft Merkes, Marty Taft (Soucky Ratsavong), Jim Taft (Amie) and Joanne Lane (Michael); and her sisters, Rosalie Pflepsen and Kathleen Lansing. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Marlatt Funeral Home & Crematory (713 Central Ave N, Kent, WA 98032). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (25810 156th Ave SE, Covington, WA 98042). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042).
