She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Hitsman and Ellie Hitsman (Olson). She is survived by: her husband Ralph Carter; her son Raphiel Carter; her daughter-in-law Mackenzie Carter; her siblings, Douglas Hitsman and Sharon Hitsman; her close friends, Eileen Mahoney-Munn and Ken Horne; and her in-laws, Jerry Carter, Joe Carter, Bonita Carter Smith and Deborah Carter. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.
