He was predeceased by: his parents, Linn Cunningham and Amelia Cunningham; his former wife Jerri Cunningham; and his stepdaughter Renee King. He is survived by: his wife Connie King; his sister Jackie Sinclair (Bob); his sons, Richard Cunningham (Bonnie) and Joshua Cunningham (Misti); his stepchildren, DeAnna Young (Randall), Ricky King (Kerri) and Angelina King; his grandchildren, Mason Meyers (Cheyenne), Arya Young and Mia Young; his great grandchild Cash; his mother-in-law Betty Costas; and his niece Hollie Costas (Ronald).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Team Red, White & Blue.
