She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Avery and Gilbert Avery; and her husband Ray Purser. She is survived by: her sister Janice Smith. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.

She donated her handmade hats for cancer patients and baby blankets for newborns to the hospitals.
