He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Poppy; his parents, Bill Vails and Dama "Brownie" Vails; his wife Nettie Vails; his siblings, Chuck Kroum, Rose Winkler (Kroum), Billie Jean Gipson (Vails) and Jerry Kroum; his siblings-in-law, Allan Burch (Patsy) and Ethel Nelson (David); his daughters, Mary Lynn Mader (Brian), Shirley Pruitt (Jim) and Tammy Smith (Vails); his grandchildren, Jennifer Chacon (Kirby), Katie Mader (Chris Thompson), Derek Nelson (Krista Paulson), Heather Smith (Charly), Mikey Pegasus (Tara), Candyce Pruitt-Goddard (Brian) and James Pruitt; and his great grandchildren, Brian Mader, Garett Chacon, Amelia Thompson, Iain Thompson, Liam Thompson, Ryan Chacon, Lillian Smith, Odin Pruitt-Goddard, Obsidian Pruitt-Goddard and Kipton Pegasus.
