He was predeceased by: his parents, Thor Carlson and Margaret Carlson; his brother Robert; and his daughter Debra (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Margie; his sister Dianne (Davis); his daughter Susan (Arey); his sons-in-law, Bruce (Arey) and Steven Smith; and his granddaughters, Kristin (Seffens), Cassie (Arey-Chavez), Erin (Bush), Brittan (Ornstein) and Kelsey (Gomez). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
