He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Joyce Hooper; his parent Estella Blanche Rust; and his siblings, Farley Bennett, Betty Sandifer and Gloria Lindsay.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Shaffer; his children, Shawn Shaffer, Myron Shaffer, Cheryl Wentz (Dick), Julie Bennett and Jerry Bennett (Robin); his grandchildren, Jennifer Sieler (Tony Ricardi), Justin Sieler (Maria), Travis Schilperoort, Tigard, Brandon Bennett, Chandra Bennett, Jeremy Bennett and Samantha Sorenson (Josh); his great grandchildren, Jaxon Sieler, Ava Sieler, Anny Yanez, Haliyah Yanez, Alyson Yanez, Zane Sorenson, Parker Sorenson and Reagan Bennett; and his siblings, Ione Speer, Wesley Bennett (Sherry) and Kenny Bennett (Karen). He is also survived by three children, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
