He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mary Ellen Rath (Ralyea); his children, Joanne, Mary Louise, Robert H. (Manoelita), William (Sally), Caroline, John (Elaine) and Paul (Lalisa); his grandchildren, John (Brooke), Katherine, Emily, Carolyn, Eleanor, Adam and Fiona; his great grandchild Wesley; and his sibling Joan Webster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
