James Patrick Jordan Obituary

James Patrick Jordan of Kenmore, Washington, passed away suddenly on May 31, 2017 at the age of 60. Born December 7, 1956, at Madigan Army Medical Center on what is now Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Jim was a Washington resident his whole life. Jim Jordan achieved two Master Degrees and was a 15 year Paramedic/Firefighter with the Redmond Fire Department who moved through the ranks to become a Medical Services Officer for NE King Count Medic One.

He began his career at the Fire Dispatch Center known as "Control 10" on the Eastside before the communications centers merger. He was also a 10 year volunteer Firefighter and EMT with Fire District 10, and also began working as an EMT trainer and researcher at Harborview Medical Center working for the Medic 2 program in Seattle.

Jim retired in 2015 to pursue his dream of working with Yacht companies piloting vessels for private owners. Paramedic Jim Jordan loved working as a Paramedic and helped save hundreds of lives during his career. He was a dedicated professional who gave 25 years of public service to the citizens of King County. After retiring, Jim continued to pursue his passion for yachts and boating, and the latter part of his life was devoted to it.

Not only as a recreational boater, but also as a licensed 100 ton Master. As a Professional Captain, Jim trained many people in the proper handling of their vessels. True to his nature, these clients all became good friends. He delivered yachts of all sizes up and down both coasts, and relished the opportunity for the adventure these trips offered.

In the marina community, where Jim was the Harbour Village Marina President, he gave much of his time helping by serving on the board, initiating tasks and helping others with their boating needs and life issues. He was always there for you with a smile, a kind word, sound advice, based on his vast and varied experience.

Jim will be greatly missed by many! Jim leaves behind his sister, Patricia Lynne Querengasser, husband of Paul, Schuylkill Haven, PA, nephew Jared Querengasser, his wife Shona and their children, Natalie, Cullen and Evan, Auburn, PA., niece, Liesl Male and her husband, Stephen of Gilbert, AZ. A brother, Robert Craig Jordan and his wife Sally, Schuylkill Haven, PA, former co-workers with the King County Fire Department, many friends and admirers. Jim was well loved and treasured by his parents, the late Patrick and Cleta L Jordan.
