He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles O'Keefe and Dorothy O'Keefe. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Thomas (Rie Yamazaki) and James; and his grandchildren, Aki, Taka, Avangeline, Rylee and Nadine. He is also survived by family members, friends.
