He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; his son Steven; his grandson Daniel Schnell; and his siblings, Harold, Howard, Gordon and Kathryn Yeakle.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Peabody (Robert), Sharon Newman (David), Brian Schnell (Paula) and Brett Schnell (Christa); his daughter-in-law Kathy Schnell; his grandchildren, Kerry, Corey, Alicia, Blake, Suzanne, Adam, Julia and Marissa; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Jaxon, Zayne, Zeke, Jayden, Logan, Taylor, Cameron, Quinn, Cayden and Chloe; his sister Margene Ballard; and his sister-in-law Marlene Schnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
