He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Mehrer and Linda Mehrer; and his brother Curt Mehrer. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Mehrer; his children, Kyle Mehrer (Alyson), Jennifer Mehrer (Jacob Meyer) and Allison Mehrer; and his siblings, Lester Mehrer (Melissa Mehrer) and Lori Roberts (Charlie Roberts). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
