He was predeceased by: his parents, Casey Smith and Irene Smith; his wife Carol Smith; and his brother Calvin Smith (Joanne Anderson). He is survived by: his daughters, Janice (Pat Smalling), Crystal (Terry Scott) and Pam (Jim Beierle); his grandchildren, Jennifer Smalling, Casey Smalling, Jenna Ellefson, Robert, Christina Scott, Reginia Scott, Randi, Noah Gray, Amanda, Matt Willer, Jamie Beierle and Jess Beierle; and his sister Linda Bergstrom (Bob).
