He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his daughter Candace; his son-in-law John Sheehan; his son Stephen; his daughter-in-law Mary Ahnert; his grandson Jesse Ahnert; his great grandchild Axl; his grandson Seth Ahnert (Jessica); and his great grandchild Ellis.
At Walter's personal request, in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Kaiser Permanente Hospice Foundation or Family First Adult Group Homes.
