He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Benson and Vivian Freeburg Benson; his son Michael Chad Benson; his brother Gary Benson; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Benson and Linda Bull Krespan.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine McKain (Kevin) of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Brock Benson (Maria) of Gig Harbor, WA; his grandchildren, Masen, Baily McKain, Justin and Teigan Benson; his brother Todd Benson of Clermont, FL; and his niece Stacey Krespan Elderbroom (David) of Charlotte, NC.
