We bid farewell to John S. Gilich (Gig Harbor, Washington), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 9, 2024 at the age of 95. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Anton Gilich and Vinka Gilich (Georgene Gilich); his brother-in-law Ken Harkey Sr.; his sister Sonja Gilich Harkey; and his great-nephew Christopher Harkey.

He is survived by : his nephews, Ken Harkey (Toni) and John Harkey (Karen); his great-niece Lindsey Shelp (Garrett); and also, Daniel and Barbara Andrews.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rest Funeral Home (8503 WA-16, Gig Harbor, WA 98332).
