He is survived by: his parents, Shirley Benz (Larson) and Walter Smith; his wife Sheila; and his sisters, Karla Olson (Mark) of Mercer Island, WA and Tiffany Cobb of Phoenix, AZ..
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rest Funeral Home (8503 WA-16, Gig Harbor, WA 98332).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CU Foundation for the NKH Crusaders, a cause close to Doug's heart.
