She was predeceased by: her parents, Fukumatsu Tanishita and Shinayo Tanishita; her sons, William Tetsuho and John Katsutoshi; and her pet FiFi.
She is survived by: her husband John; her brother Katsutoshi Tanishita; and her nephews, Jun Tanishita and Takao Shimazaki.
