He is survived by: his father Robert Halter; his siblings, Jackie Winegar (Randy), Steve Halter (Staci) of Huron and Angie Halter of Sioux Falls; his niece Jennifer Miller (Brett); his great-nephew Alex Miller; and his great-nieces, Danika of Tea, SD., Kenzie of Tea, SD. and Brynnlee Miller of Tea, SD..
