He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy L. Watson and Ruth Virginia Wright; and his sister Denise Penelope Kartes. He is survived by: his brothers, Lee Wright Watson and Lawrence Robert Watson; his wife Lanita; and his son Alexander.
In 2022 he was honored as a NANFA fellow in appreciation for his many contributions to the Association.
