He was predeceased by: his parents, Kate Stokes and Andrew Stokes; and his siblings, Dorothy Nash, Lucille Stokes, Barbara Larson Hibbert, Inez Barrea, Milton, Blaine, Duane and Boyd Stokes.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Schwitzke); his children, Diane Smith of Tacoma, Linda Temple, Cynthia [Daniel] Couture of Canby Oregon, Ed Johnson of Auburn, Raymond [Angela] Johnson of Las Vegas and Fish [Libby] Johnson of Auburn; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson of Enumclaw, Jeremy Wilson of Gig Harbor, Ian Hughes of Tacoma, Edd Smith IV of Kent, Ryan Smith of Enumclaw, Kirk Temple of Chicago Illinois, Katie Temple, Naomi Baucom of Cache Oklahoma, Cassaundra Johnson of Longview Washington, Jordan Johnson Drew and Brennan Johnson of Las Vegas; his great grandchildren, Malachi, Samara, Caleb, Colin Wilson, Edd Smith V, Hazel Henson and Royce Smith; and his great great grandchild Ondre'Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
