He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Wirth and Martha Wirth (Janowski); his wife Nora; and his siblings, Victor Wirth, Lester Wirth, Loretta Hiltner, Beatrice Houghton, Francis Wirth and Valery Hudson.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Wirth (Lori) of Munich, Bruce Wirth (Rita) of Munich, Brian Wirth (Kerna) of Munich and Lynette Beck (Gary) of Munich; his daughter-in-law Linda Harder (Geryl) of Hampden, ND; his grandchildren, Christopher Wirth (Tiffany), Larissa Skjonsberg (Rob), Jonathan Wirth, Alicia Wolfgram (Jon), Renae Ahlberg (Carl), Adam Wirth, Benjamin Wirth, Brittany Wirth, Mitchell Wirth, Monica Beck, Rachel Olson (Aaron), Danielle Vail (Peter), Riley Beck (Ashli) and Travis Beck (Lexy); and his sisters, Geraldine Tholkes of Langdon, ND, Martha Rose Henderson of Langdon, ND, Madelyn Hoffmann and Lois Dawley. He is also survived by twenty-seven great grandchildren.
