She was predeceased by: her parents, Claus Johnson and Ella Johnson; her sister Clarice Ohman; her nephew Jeffrey Nelson; her great-nephew Alexander Gaston; and her brothers-in-law, Norman Nelson and David Ohman.

She is survived by: her sons, James Rice (Donna) of Everett, WA and Jonathan Rice (Dianne) of Camano Island, WA.; her grandchildren, Rachel O'Neill (Tom), Amanda Henry (Rob), Rebecca Salmon (Stephen) and Aaron Rice; her great grandchildren, Ellis, Abner O'Neill, Jackson Henry, Amos Salmon and Madelyn Henry; and her sister LaVerne Nelson of Battle Lake, MN. She is also survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
