She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Violet Scott and Dale Scott; her son Jeff; her granddaughters, Wendy and Valerie; and her daughter Valerie.

Betty spent some of her time volunteering for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a disease that took the life of her daughter Valerie in 1961.
