He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Ellen Hartwig; his brother Robert Meyers; his daughters, Judy Penick (Pete), Ruth Anne Bell (Ron), Marie Meyers, Debra Kent (Clifford) and Lois Meyers; and his stepchildren, Carol Louise Hadlock and Brian Volkert. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
