He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sorensen and Lena Sorensen; and his brothers, Raymond and Dennis. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Burbank (Bob), Linda Tinney, Marsha Ross (Karl) and Nancy Sorensen; and his grandchildren, Shawna, Brett, Kelly, Wade, Sean, Margarett, Dawn, Lucas and Richard. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Buckley Fire Department.
