He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Atkinson and Clara Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Esther E. Atkinson; and his children, Steve Atkinson MD of Lopez Island, Washington and Ann Jaleen Berryman of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
